The Owners:
Bob and Dan began working in the irrigation field in 1973 for a large company, who did not only do residential systems but also large apartment and condominium complexes, shopping centers, golf course work and even a cemetery.  This experience gave them the full range of installation and service training using pipe sizes from ½” section lines to 6” mainlines, pipe pulling installations to large trencher and backhoe operations.  They have worked under highly skilled and knowledgeable employers who taught them the trade from the most basic of installations to large pump systems, requiring careful monitoring of flow and pressure settings.  Bob and Dan began the company in 1979 and Incorporated in 1989.

The Company:
Bate & Reece, Inc., has remained a relatively small, personal company with a reputation based on doing quality work.  We have retained our talented staff of installers and service technicians year after year.  Our employees take their job seriously and are courteous, experienced and conscientious!  Our customers recognize and trust our employees year after year, many of them knowing our staff on a first name basis.

 With over 30 years of experience, we have seen many changes in our industry from good and bad products to good and bad labor practices.  Now, we are seeing more and more companies or spin offs of a parent landscape company forming with many of the companies owners or head foreman having limited irrigation experience.

 We do not claim to be one of the least expensive companies, who service and install underground lawn sprinkler systems or a company that hires mass inexperienced help and then quickly lays them off once the “spring surge” is over.

 We Do claim to be one of the most thorough and conscientious of companies.  We work neatly and efficiently when servicing or installing your system.  We use tarps and barrels when needed and dig in a uniform manner showing little disturbance at jobs end.
